Our Policies

Child Safety Standards
Boronia Amateur Swimming & Lifesaving Club ("BASLC") is fully committed to the protection of children, young people as well as the broader membership. Our goals include a commitment inclusion and to ensure that swimming is fun, safe and enjoyable for participants. The Victorian Child Safe Standards and Swimming Australia’s Child Safeguarding Policy affirm the responsibilities of the swimming community in actively promoting and maintaining a culture of child safety and inclusion. In November 2023 BASLC adopted Swimming Australia’s National Integrity Framework (NIF) in full to address risks to child safety and establish a child safe culture and a commitment embedding such standards within practice via the BASLC Child Safety Action Plan. Our athletes are also provided with an annotated easy to read version.
